August Calling All Sisters Reminder

**This is one of 2 posts that I have today.  If you are looking for the Joy Clair Color by Faith Blog Hop please go here.**

Hello Bosom Buddies,

It is the 17th of the month and that means that I am here with the CAS-ual Fridays Encouragement Squad to remind you to do your monthly self breast exam and schedule your mammogram if you haven't had one yet this year!!  Please stop by the Calling All Sistahs August Reminder Post!

Be sure to check out all the Calling All Sistahs collection of stamps and dies designed shortly after Michele, the owner of CAS-ual Fridays, was diagnosed  with Breast Cancer in 2015.  She designed them with the purpose of donating 50% profits to breast cancer awareness programs and to provide you with awesome stamps to remind and encourage your friends!

Here is my Reminder Card:

Ingredients:

Brown ink
Green ink
Black ink
Faded Jeans distress ink
Evergreen Bough distress ink
Assorted paper from my stash
White card stock

For this A2 card I decided I need to make a different color card this time, I have a tone of Pink cards!  So I decided to go with blues and greens!  I took some blue paper, brown, green and black ink and stamped the tree and sentiment from the CAS-ual Fridays Calm and Gentle stamp set.  I used a corner rounder to cut the edges of the blue paper and then I mounted that on some green paper.  I cut the corners of the green paper with the same corner roundef and then added that to the stripped paper.  I inked the edgse of the striped paper with Evergreen Bough distress ink and then added that to the white card stock base.

Be sure to stop by the CAS-ual Friday Blog to see what the other Girl Friday's from the Encouragement Squad have created for our Sistahs Reminder!

Then why not stop by the CAS-ual Fridays store to see all the wonderful stamp sets there are to make cards of encouragement with!!  If you decide that there are one or two stamp sets that you just have to have then use this code encourage17 to get 15% off stamps and dies!!  Thank you Michele, for letting me pass this on to my followers.

Tomorrow will be the start of a new Encouragement Challenge and we would love to have you participate!  You might even be the winner of the prize!!

Thanks for stopping by!

I used the Salt and the Light stamp set for my projects today!

I made two cards with the Joy Clair Salt and the Light stamp set

 Here is my first card:

For this A2 card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  I took some blue marble paper, inked the edges with Faded Jeans distress ink and attached that to the card.  I took some yellow paper and cut it out with my sunburst die and then added that to the card.  I stamped the sentiment from the Joy Clair Salt and the Light stamp set and some black Memento ink and stamped the sentiment onto some yellow paper and then I cut it out with a circle punch and added it to the card.  I took some watercolor paper and some Memento black ink and stamped the big light bulb with the sentiment inside it and the smaller light bulbs.  I colored the large light bulb in with yellow and then I fussy cut out all the light bulbs and added them to the card.  Here is a closer look at my card:

Here is my next card:

For this A2 card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card. I took some  black star paper, inked the edges with black ink and added that to the base of the card.  I took some watercolor paper, Memento black ink and the salt shaker stamp from the Joy Clair Salt and the Light stamp set and stamped that and fussy cut it out and added that to the card.  I took the big globe from the Joy Clair John 3:16 stamp set and stamped that with black ink, colored it in with watercolor pencils and then fussy cut it out and added that to the card.  I took part of the sentiment from the Joy Clair Dad's Day stamp set and stamped that with black ink and then cut it out with a star die and added that to the card.  Here is a closer look at this card:

For my projects I used the Joy Clair Rose Sentiments stamp set to feature today!

I made a card and a tag with this stamp set:

For my card I started with white card stock for the base of the card, the size is 5 1/2 inch square.  Next I took a piece of paper from the Molly & Rex Specialty Cardstock that I purchased at my local Michael's store.  I took the rose frame from the Joy Clair Rose Sentiment stamp set, some black Memento ink and a piece of watercolor paper and stamped the roses.  I then picked the sentiment I wanted and stamped that with the black ink, then I took my Copic markers and colored in the roses.  I took the large Gina Marie Designs Scallop Oval die and cut out the image and attached that to the card.

Here is a closer look at the card:

For my tag:

For my tag I stamped the image with the black ink onto some watercolor paper, colored it with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out.  I cut out some Kraft card stock with the stitched tag die and then added the roses to the top of the tag. I picked out the Get well soon sentiment and stamped that with black ink onto the tag.  Then I took some peach crinkle ribbon from the DL.ART Spring Bundle #2 and tied that on the top of the tag.

Whimsy Stamps Challenge #97 ~ Anything Goes with an option of Holiday

Hello Blogging Friends,

Today I am going to share with you a card that I am entering in the Whimsy Stamps Challenge #97 ~ Anything goes with an option of Holiday.

Here is my card:

Ingredients:

Assorted papers from my stash
Black ink
Watercolor paper
White cardstock
Copic markers
Wink of Stella clear

For this A2 card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  I took a piece blue paper and cut it out with the largest Gina Marie Designs Big and Little Pierced Chain Rectangle die and added that to the base of the card.  I took a piece of watercolor paper, black ink and the Whimsy Stamps Penguins Oops! Stamp and stamped that onto the paper and then colored in the image with Copic markers.  You can't see it in the picture, but I added some clear Wink of Stella to the icicles hanging down.  I cut that out with the one of the smaller Gina Marie Designs Big and Little Pierced Chain Rectangle die and then attached it to the striped paper and cut that out with the next size up die and added that to the card.  I took some of the DL.ART Mermaids Tale Bundle 2nd Edition Crinkle Ribbon and made a bow and attached that to the card.  I just love this stamp set, it makes me giggle everytime I see the one penguin giggling at the one whose tongue is stuck to the icicle!

Be sure to stop by the Whimsy Stamps Challenge #97 to see all the wonderful creations that the Design Team have made and the other entries!

I will be sending this card, along with the others that I have already made, to the Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive.
